In the mid-1950’s. Dickies introduced a line of shirts made with the New Look. While previously work shirts had been made like very rugged dress shirts. the New Look shirts were more streamlined in keeping with Mid-Century Modern aesthetics. Non-functional details were eliminated. and the result was a shirt with a convertible collar and plain button front. This cleaner look was the beginning of the highly versatile and popular Dickies work shirt of today. and the style showcases the beautiful fabrics featured here.
